Thomsons History

Thomsons TV and Hi-Fi is a specialist retailer in digital products. A family run business established by James Thomson and his son Leonard in 1959. James Thomson's grandson Alan, now runs the business and has done since 1970.

Today there are large multi national businesses who are slowly taking over, with a wide range of product ranges. Although these companies may produce quantity, they seem to lack quality. Small buisness such as Thomsons who have the knowledge to provide a quality service to their customers are being pushed out. Quality always comes before quantity.

Through word of mouth Thomsons has become a business which is seen as reliable and honest due to its dedicated and friendly team of full time on site engineers and electricians. Our experienced team are there to provide an excellent quality of service to their customers and answer any queries that you may have.

The shop permanently stocks major brands of Televisions, DVD Recorders, Players, Hi-Fi's and many other forms of electrical items and equipment for use inside and outside the home. We are also here to supply a service to our customers through aerial and satellite installations.
